Laurie Richardson, Google’s vice president of trust and safety, emphasized the importance of reliable information during elections. Given the potential for mistakes in this new technology, we are taking steps to prevent misinformation.”

To further enhance voter engagement and information accessibility, Google Search will feature a prominent tool to assist users in registering to vote. Additionally, YouTube will introduce new functionalities to help viewers find credible information about election candidates and their respective parties. As the election day approaches, the platform will provide timely reminders about voting locations and procedures.
