There are a number of useful and convenient alternatives to the main ChatGPT app for Android. Here are the five AI chatbot programs to use, and what you can do with them.

  1. ChatGPT

The official and free ChatGPT app for Android from OpenAI functions identically to the ChatGPT website, but adds a handful of handy extra features. To begin, enter your request at the prompt and wait for a response. You may then ask follow-up questions to further explore the same topic, or you can hit the plus symbol at the top to begin a new discussion on a different topic.

Why type when you can speak? Simply press the microphone icon in the Message area to speak your request. When you’re finished, tap the circle, and your voice will be transcribed into text for you to publish.

The ChatGPT app saves all of your chats from the internet and mobile devices. Tap the hamburger button at the top and choose History to view a previous discussion.

  1. 2. Nova, an AI chatbot

AI Chatbot Nova, powered by ChatGPT, is capable of answering a wide range of inquiries and creating a variety of material. The basic version of Nova is free and highly competent, but it only allows you three conversations each day. The software includes unlimited chat messages, more thorough replies, fast responses, a conversation history, image-to-text OCR, and access to GPT-4 for $4.99 per week or $39.99 per year.

When you launch the app, the Explore screen proposes many categories and questions to get you started. Return to the main screen by tapping the Chat icon at the bottom. Enter something in the Type here area.

You may now input any question or query you like, or you can touch the Suggestions button to see recommended themes like arithmetic issues, translation, coding, entertainment, fitness, mindfulness, or mental health.

  1. Bing AI

Another good third-party app for Android users is Microsoft’s free Bing AI chatbot. It is driven by ChatGPT, but it also functions as a regular search engine, providing up-to-date information and results. To access the conversation screen, launch the app and hit the Bing symbol. Microsoft recommends a few queries and themes.

You can select a dialogue style here: More Creative, More Balanced, or More Precise. To begin, choose one of the following questions or input your own question in the Ask me anything section. Depending on your query, Bing will use web sources to develop an answer, including mentioning those sources so you may double-check them.

Bing may offer follow-up questions based on the subject. Tap one of those questions to continue the conversation or to ask your own questions.

Tap the icon to the left of the Ask me anything area to begin a new subject. Then, under the Ask me anything section, utter your inquiry by tapping the microphone icon and speaking.

You may also make a query using text from a photograph or picture. Tap the symbol to the left of the microphone icon to enable this function. To snap a photo, use the shutter button; otherwise, press the other symbol to access your photo collection. After that, the image is uploaded to the Ask me anything section, where you can submit it.

  1. ChatOn

ChatOn, like Nova, can produce any form of writing, from blog posts to essays to melodies. However, it may also answer a variety of queries to deliver the information you want. It also has a number of extra functions, including as text recognition, voice-to-text conversion, text-to-voice technology, and multi-language compatibility.

The basic version is free and accomplishes the job well. A Pro subscription costs $6.99 per week or $39.99 per year and includes unlimited chat messages, more thorough replies, instant responses, a conversation history, image-to-text OCR, and access to GPT-4. A three-day free trial allows you to test out the Pro version before you pay.

ChatOn attempts to help you right away by recommending various categories and queries. You may ask for clarification on certain ideas, get advice, obtain travel recommendations, talk philosophy, play games, have fun, develop content, and even instruct ChatOn to participate in some roleplaying.

Select one of the offered questions to see how the app replies, or use them to create your own.

  1. Genie

Genie, another ChatGPT-powered AI tool, is adept at answering inquiries and creating content. The free version allows just 10 conversations each day. The premium edition costs $7.99 per week or $44.99 per year (after a free three-day trial) and includes unlimited conversations, a larger word limit, and access to GPT-4.

After launching the app, go to the bottom and hit the Chat icon to ask any question you wish. Alternatively, press the Explorer button to get a list of suggested categories from which you may submit particular searches.

Genie’s actual strength lies in content creation. You may ask it to produce advertising, emails, social media posts, computer code, poetry, tales, music lyrics, and more from the Explore screen. Give Genie a topic for the material, and it will respond appropriately.

You may then instruct it to summarize a picture, web page, or PDF file. To acquire an image summary, touch that option and then either take a new photo or select one from your local library or Google Drive.
