Here’s how to use Google Voice to record an incoming call on your Android device:

Respond to the incoming call that you plan to record.

To begin recording, press 4.

To stop recording, press 4.

You may listen to recordings on the Google Voice voicemail tab.

When using Google Voice to record a phone call, you may start recording while the call is still in progress, and you can even transfer phones during a recorded call.

Using an external recorder to record a call on Android

Using an external recorder may not be the best solution because it may necessitate the purchase of gear. If Google Voice does not meet your needs, an external recorder – whether a dictaphone or otherwise – is a possibility.

Modern recorders are frequently wireless, having Bluetooth capabilities, and may need to be paired with the original smartphone used to make calls.

When recording with specialized equipment, the only actions necessary are often connecting through Bluetooth and pushing a button to start and stop the recording.

The recordings will remain on the external device for as long as storage is available until you elect to transfer the audio files.

A voice-recorder app might be used as a workaround. While Android call-recording capabilities is restricted to Google’s Phone app and Accessibility services, you may be able to get around this by activating a voice recorder and speaking on the phone.

This might be an app on your smartphone intended to collect speech and surrounding sounds, or it could be an app on a different mobile device if the call is made on speaker.

These applications may be able to capture ambient sounds, including both sides of a phone call. However, keep in mind that recording someone without their agreement is unlawful in many countries.
