Amazing Facts about the Samsung Galaxy S24 Specs, info, and release date
Samsung has long been firmly established at the top of the Android smartphone market. Our choice for one of the greatest smartphones now available is the Galaxy S23 Ultra, however, its two smaller siblings are also quite good. But newer is always more interesting when it comes to technology, therefore it’s time to focus on the Galaxy S24 series.
Even though the upcoming Galaxy phone generation is still a ways off, the rumor mill has already given us a few glimpses of what to look forward to. Here is everything we anticipate from the Galaxy S24, along with a wish list of extras we hope will be included.
When will the Samsung Galaxy S24 be available?
If Samsung didn’t introduce the Galaxy S24 series, they would be crazy. The S23 trio are already some of the best-selling smartphones without an Apple brand in the world, and a follow-up series would undoubtedly achieve comparable sales. Given that Samsung just altered its naming practices in 2020, after utilizing single digits for a decade in phone names, the S24 name looks like a safe choice.
Since each model now displays the year it was first sold (the S23 was introduced in 2023), the Galaxy S24’s debut in 2024 makes sense. When specifically? The most likely options are in January or February. You can see why by looking at prior Galaxy phone launches:
Galaxy S23 was released on February 1, 2023.
On February 25, 2022, the Galaxy S22 was released.
Launched on January 29, 2021, is the Galaxy S21
The most recent instance of Samsung choosing a different month occurred in 2017 when the Galaxy S8 was released in March. These events used to take place in conjunction with the Mobile World Congress, but Samsung now wants to hold them independently, in part so it won’t have to compete for media attention with a plethora of new phones from other manufacturers.
There are presently no price rumors, and with the recent hikes in the cost of living throughout the world, it may be months before we learn anything specific. Recall that the Galaxy S23 cost £849/$800, the S23+ cost £1049/$1000, and the S23 cost £1249/$1500.
Hardware and design rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S24
How many models Samsung will release is now the main S24 series mystery. A basic S24 and an S24 Ultra flagship are near certainties. According to early rumors, an S24+ might not pass muster, as reported by the Korean publication The Elec. The idea has subsequently been refuted by other leakers, but it makes sense given that the Plus model is often the poorest seller of each generation and that the Galaxy S23+ is now significantly less desirable than prior models due to price increases.
No matter how many versions finally appear, we anticipate the design to mostly remain the same. The S23 and S23+ saw a design change that more closely resembled the S23 Ultra by removing the back camera hump in favor of naked lenses and providing a comparable palette of colors. Until we see any leaks to suggest otherwise, we’re anticipating that Samsung will continue to maintain its hardware aesthetic consistency through numerous generations till 2024.
On the hardware front, it’s unclear if Samsung will continue using Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs across the board or revert to a split strategy where some regions receive Exynos-powered smartphones. We’re hopeful Samsung doesn’t revert to its previous practices because Snapdragon-equipped phones have consistently been more powerful and had longer battery lives than their Exynos counterparts
The camera side will almost definitely see the largest hardware enhancements. While the S23 and S23+ utilized sensors from the previous generation, the Galaxy S23 Ultra introduced a new 200MP primary camera. Samsung will need to fix this issue for the 2024 model year to prevent its phones from being outperformed by rivals sporting larger sensors or greater pixel counts. There isn’t much information available at this time, despite rumors that the S23 Ultra will only have three cameras instead of four and replace its 3x optical lens with a periscope with a 3-10x variable zoom.

Wish list of features for the Samsung Galaxy S24
We gave the Galaxy S23 Ultra five stars in our review since we are ardent admirers of it. The S23 and S23+ also pleased us, but we didn’t think they had much improved over their predecessors, making it difficult to justify the price increases when there was plenty of fiercely priced competition. What we believe Samsung might do to make that different for their successors is as follows:
New camera equipment
The S23 and S23+ shoot amazing images thanks to some of the best image processing in the industry from Samsung, but the underlying technology is starting to seem obsolete in comparison to well-known competitors. If the telephoto and ultrawide lenses have more pixels than the primary sensor, it would be fantastic.
Faster charging
Samsung’s phones are frequently compared to those from Apple and Google, and in that regard, they charge rather quickly. However, the latest crop of Chinese competitors beats them all in terms of charging times. It’s also not even close: a Xiaomi 13 Pro can achieve a stunning 120W whereas the S23 can only deliver 25W over USB-C and the S23+/S23 Ultra can deliver 45W. We hope the upcoming Galaxy picks up the pace.
S24 is one nice location.
The Galaxy S23 is one of the tiniest Android flagships available, which we adore, but the larger, more expensive S23+ feels a bit out of place. It costs a lot of money, but the less costly Google Pixel 7 Pro outperforms it in terms of battery life and can compete with it in terms of photography. We would want Samsung to concentrate on a single S24 model with a little larger screen (6.3 in. would do just well), which would allow for a larger battery and maintain the pricing in line with competitors.
