How to Use Samsung’s Hands-Free Photo Feature

There are various features that distinguish Samsung cellphones, but one that I find interesting (and that isn’t accessible by every manufacturer) is the hands-free photo capability. This function allows you to capture great selfies without having to worry about accidentally pressing the side buttons or the onscreen shutter button. To take a selfie, simply utilize your palm motion. This function provides versatility by allowing you to rest your phone against a surface, mount it on a tripod, and so on. This adaptability allows you to capture better photographs.

On Samsung phones, this function is activated by default. Simply open the camera app on your Samsung device, select the selfie setting, step in front of the lens, and extend a free hand. If you enable the function, a 3-10 second countdown should begin before your selfie is shot.

If this does not work, it signifies that the function on your Samsung Smartphone is not enabled. Here’s how to make the function available on your Smartphone.

Enable the Samsung Hands-free Photo Feature

  • Launch your camera app.
  • Go to the Settings menu.
  • Scroll down and choose Shooting techniques.
  • Turn on Show Palm.
  • Show your hand to the front camera after activating the palm gesture function, and the device will capture a shot after the specified number of seconds.
  • You may also utilize the selfie timer to snap your selfie.
  • Open your phone’s Camera app.
  • At the top of your screen, tap the timer symbol.
  • Choose how long you want the timer to run.

Finally, when utilizing this function, make sure your smartphone is properly positioned and that you don’t move too far away from it.
