Hoop Revolutionizes Task Management with AI-Powered To-Do Lists
Productivity startup Hoop, founded by a team of former Trello employees, has secured $5 million in seed funding to transform the way we manage our to-do lists.
Led by Index Ventures, with participation from Origin Ventures, Divergent Capital, and Chingona Ventures, Hoop aims to harness the power of AI to automatically generate and track tasks.
Hoop’s innovative approach captures potential tasks from Google Meet and Slack meetings, as well as Slack messages, and seamlessly integrates them into a comprehensive to-do list. This streamlined process eliminates the need for manual input, freeing up time for more critical tasks.
CEO Stella Garber, who led marketing at Trello, joined forces with Brian Schmidt, who led operations, finance, and legal, and Justin Gallagher, the first product person at Trello, to create Hoop. Their vision is to recreate the magic of Trello’s early days, leveraging AI to revolutionize task management.
By starting with AI as the foundation, Hoop differentiates itself from existing platforms that add AI as an afterthought. The team’s extensive experience at Trello has equipped them to develop a tool that truly understands productivity and to-do lists.
Currently, Hoop is designed for individual use, but the company plans to expand its features to accommodate team collaboration in the future. With a focus on enhancing the user experience, Hoop will introduce various views and features over time, setting a new standard for task management.
