OmniAI Revolutionizes Enterprise Data for AI Integration
Many companies face significant challenges in leveraging their data for meaningful insights. According to Forrester, between 60% and 73% of business data typically goes unused for analytics.
This inefficiency arises from data being siloed or constrained by technical and security issues, making it difficult to apply analytical tools effectively.
Anna Pojawis and Tyler Maran, former engineers at Y Combinator-backed startups Hightouch and Fair Square, recognized this pervasive problem. They noted that numerous businesses, particularly those in regulated industries like healthcare and finance, were hindered by engineering obstacles in their data analytics efforts.
“Many companies, especially in regulated sectors, find it challenging to implement data analytics,” Maran explained to TechCrunch. “Corporate data today comprises a vast array of unstructured forms such as sales calls, documents, and Slack messages, which do not fit neatly into databases. Standard data models are often inadequate for these needs.”
To address this, Pojawis and Maran founded OmniAI, a suite of tools designed to transform unstructured enterprise data into formats suitable for data analytics and artificial intelligence applications.
OmniAI integrates with a company’s existing data storage solutions and databases, such as Snowflake and MongoDB. It processes the data, making it ready for the application of various models, including large language models. OmniAI operates within the company’s cloud, OmniAI’s private cloud, or on-premises environments, enhancing security and flexibility.
“We foresee large language models becoming integral to corporate infrastructure over the next decade,” Maran stated. “Centralizing data processing just makes sense.”
OmniAI offers out-of-the-box integrations with several models, including Meta’s Llama 3, Anthropic’s Claude, Mistral’s Mistral Large, and Amazon’s AWS Titan. These integrations facilitate various applications, such as automatic redaction of sensitive information and the development of AI-powered solutions.
Customers engage with OmniAI through a software-as-a-service (SaaS) contract, enabling them to manage models on their infrastructure.
Despite being in its early stages, OmniAI has already secured $3.2 million in seed funding, led by FundersClub, with a valuation of $30 million. The company boasts ten customers, including notable names like Klaviyo and Carrefour. OmniAI aims to achieve an annual recurring revenue of $1 million by 2025.
“We are a lean team in a rapidly growing industry,” Maran noted. “We believe that companies will increasingly choose to run models alongside their existing infrastructure, while model providers will shift towards licensing model weights to established cloud providers.”
With its innovative approach and strategic vision, OmniAI is poised to transform how businesses harness the power of their data, making advanced analytics and AI more accessible and effective across various industries.
