He teamed up with Bowman, and together, they assembled a team of experts, including co-founders Luke Schoenfelder and Ivan Almaral.

The Autobiographer app engages users in conversations with an AI agent, built on Anthropic technology, which prompts them to recount their life stories. The memories are securely stored in a biometrically protected vault, ensuring complete privacy. Users can revisit and explore their memories, ultimately transforming them into various forms of prose, such as short stories or gratitude letters.

With a subscription fee of $199 per year, Autobiographer offers an accessible and collaborative approach to storytelling, distinct from traditional ghostwriting services. The company has partnered with journalist Katie Couric, who will serve as a promotional partner, further expanding its reach.

Backed by $4 million in pre-seed funding, Autobiographer has undergone significant pivots since its inception three and a half years ago. The latest version of the app, launched today, marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey to revolutionize personal storytelling.
